IDNet Customer Spotlight 🔦– Meet Lynne Kennedy and Martin Knowles co-founders of Sales Untangled

Tell us a little about your company: 

We’re a boutique sales and leadership consultancy, providing sales and people solutions to small and medium sized businesses. We’re a husband and wife team and have been a B Corp for 4 years. 

We’re also the authors of the #1 Amazon best seller, Untangle Your Sales

Sales is the lifeblood of every business, yet many people have negative stereotypes of sales people thanks to previous bad experiences. We’re on a mission to change people’s perceptions of what sales can be, freeing up business leaders to build winning sales teams and to be proud of their customer relationships. We’re the first BCorp providing Sales Mentor support to business owners and teams.

What are the main ways you use your internet connection? 

We have an a SoGEA 80/20 connection from IDNet which powers the whole of our home office.

How do you (and your staff) benefit from a fast / stable / secure internet connection? 

We deliver client training programmes on Zoom/ Teams and system stability is critical for this. We can’t risk a dropped line when we’ve got a dozen people on a live call. We also provide Executive Coaching services to clients here in the UK, India and the USA; so a stable and predictable connection is vital. Clients expect 100% connectivity and we have to be able to rely upon that.

How long have you been an IDNet Customer and why did you chose them?

We became IDNet customers in May 2022, so just over 2 years.

The reason we chose IDNet as our internet supplier came via a recommendation from one of our clients (Fluid IT, another B Corp). We are very proud to be part of the B Corp community and work hard to support other businesses with this accreditation. 

What do you like best about IDNet? 

The most important thing is system stability.

Have you had any bad experiences with ISPs in the past? 

Yes! We were with BT for over 20 years and didn’t dare move as reliability is crucial. Eventually we moved to IDNet and realised just how useless BT had been! Their stability was poor and really unpredictable and they never had any idea what had been done on the last site visit. When things went wrong, it was impossible to reach the right person in BT to help, and hours were wasted being passed from one department to another. With IDNet, we know there’s always a knowledgeable and friendly person on the end of the ‘phone if we need them. We’re very proud to say we traded up from BT to B Corp.

How important is working and trading ethically to your business? 

It’s absolutely central to the way we do business as a B Corp
